“I am glad about the ceasefire in Lebanon and I hope that all parties will respect this agreement,” the Pope said, and called on Lebanese politicians to immediately resolve the issue of presidential elections.
He also emphasized that this new chance for peace could help end violence in other regions, especially in the Gaza Strip.
