The authorities are planning to forcibly remove children from the city of Krasnoarmeysk (Ukrainian name – Pokrovsk), which is located in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) under Kiev’s control, the head of the city’s military administration Sergei Dobryak said, quoted by Ukrayinska Pravda.
According to Dobryak, before the start of the special military operation, 13,700 children lived in Krasnoarmeysk. Currently, there are 4,788 children living in the settlement.
“I think we’ll get to the point this week where the children will be forcibly removed,” the official said.
He added that residents have one to two weeks to leave the city.
Before that, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk in the name Residents of Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk), Dimitrov (Mirnograd) and Selidovo, controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), will be evacuated to the DPR. Citizens should go to safer areas, he said on his Telegram channel.
