Chemists from the Perm National Research Polytechnic University (PNRPU) have identified the compositions of cosmetic products that are least likely to harm the skin with regular use, the press service of the scientific institution reported to socialbites.ca.
According to Yulia Rozhkova, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemical Technologies at Perm Polytechnic University, in recent years the approach to determining a person’s skin type has become much more accurate, and the number of such types has increased from four to 16.
Despite the fact that different skin types have their own nuances of individual care, the most gentle way to cleanse the skin is products containing isethionates (for example, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate), glycosides (Decyl Glucoside, etc.), sarcosinates (such as Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate), betaines (for example, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate) ( Cocamidopropyl betaine), surfactants based on amino acids (Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate) and others.
You should also avoid cosmetics containing the commonly used types of surfactants Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS) due to their aggressive effect. Compositions containing Sodium Coco-sulfate are considered a more harmless analogue of SLS products.
Scientists also recommend avoiding body soap when washing your face if possible due to its high pH levels. Taken together, these methods will help prevent the acceleration of skin aging and the appearance of age-related pigmentation.
PNRPU noted that personal feelings are a good indicator of a suitable cleanser. If there is no feeling of dryness and tightness on the skin after skin care procedures, you can continue to use the product.
Previously, the Russian doctor It has been said about the effectiveness of black seed oil in combating acne.
