Military expert evaluates London’s statement on regular NATO troops in Ukraine 15:11

Military expert, retired colonel Viktor Litovkin on Radio 1 commented British media report that regular NATO troops may arrive in Ukraine. According to the expert, today the North Atlantic Alliance troops do not exist as a single system.

“NATO has a unified command that invites troops from different countries to solve certain problems, for example, tank crews from France, riflemen from Germany, pilots from the Czech Republic. These unified troops will go into action,” Litovkin explained.

He stressed that any country sending troops to Ukraine under its flag would become a legitimate target for Russia.

How reports The British newspaper The Guardian wrote that regular troops of NATO countries may appear in Ukraine. Now, according to the publication, Western special forces are already there.

It also notes that the conflict in Ukraine has already become a “NATO war” because “Western defense interests are gathering around it like moths around a fire.”
