Floods in Niger kill 27, leave 1,500 homeless

La Dirección de Protección Civil de Níger ha informado este miércoles de que al menos 27 personas han muerto y casi 1.500 se han quedado sin hogar como consecuencia de unas inundaciones que han afectado a 31 de los 36 departamentos en los que se divide el país. Otras 27 personas han resultado heridas por el desastre, que ha causado daños en 49 municipios y 111 aldeas, afectando a más de 10.600 personas, según ha informado la agencia de noticias nigerina ANP. De igual forma, se han perdido más de 10.500 cabezas de ganado. La región más afectada es la de Maradi, con siete muertos y una docena de heridos.
