According to media reports, the man himself came to the hospital and told what happened. Doctors relieved the patient’s eye pain and sent him home, but two days later the American appeared on the threshold of the clinic again. It turned out that the doctors did not completely remove the foreign body.
On re-examination, the man’s eye was found to be swollen, inflamed and had a bloodshot bottom to the iris. The patient was in severe pain and his vision had visibly deteriorated. The remaining stinger was soon noticed and removed, and the necessary medication was prescribed.
It took the man about five months to fully recover from his injury.
