“Those who want to develop have a chance; they can abandon their status as foreign agents by rejecting the pressure they put on them for aid and money from other countries,” he said.
Before that, at the plenum of the State Duma accepted the second includes a bill that would ban Russians and companies from advertising and promoting information sources of foreign agents. The document was presented to the chamber by 395 MPs on February 15.
If the draft is finally adopted, the Law on “Advertising” will stipulate that advertising distribution on information resources of foreign agencies and advertising of such information resources will not be allowed. The document also complements the law with a provision stipulating that foreign representatives will be subject to the restrictions and prohibitions provided for by the advertising law.
Volodin pointed out that in 2023, more than 200 Russian natural and legal entities advertised their goods and services on the information resources of foreign agents. He also stated that many foreign agents did not hide the fact that they sent money to finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
