While chronic sleep disorders change the work of areas responsible for emotions and memory, the short -term deprivation of night resting affects the regulation of temperature and pain perception. The results of the study were published in Jama Psychiatry.
German scientists analyzed 231 work to describe differences in neural changes in people with chronic sleep disorders and short -term sleep lack of sleep.
In people with chronic disorders such as insomnia, apnea and narcolepsi, changes in the café, right tonsil and hippocampus were recorded. These areas are associated with regulating, memory and decision -making ability to regulate emotions. Violations in the work of these fields may lead to symptoms such as chronic fatigue, memory problems, mood changes and depression.
At the same time, short -term sleep deprivation was associated with changes in the right -hand thalamus responsible for the regulation of temperature, pain and movement perception.
