Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov, telegraph channel announced that there was a case of anthrax in the region.

“I received information that required serious attention from the Izobilnensky urban district. A resident of the village of Rozhdestvenskaya was diagnosed with anthrax. The patient is in satisfactory condition, under medical supervision. We are not talking about a threat to life, ”writes Vladimirov.

He explained that the District Ministry of Health is investigating the incident – disinfection and preventive antibiotic prophylaxis have already been carried out in people who came into contact with the sick woman. Explanatory work on infection was conducted with local residents.

“There is no threat of the disease spreading. But basic hygiene rules, such as regular hand washing, should always be observed, ”said Vladimirov.
