Ukrainian president Volodímir Zelenski will speak at the next NATO summit in Madrid on 29 and 30 June, but will do so via videoconference, as confirmed by Ihor Zhovkva, vice-presidential president.
“The President of Ukraine… was invited to attend the summit via video link. The President was invited. They will speak at the first session of this summit, namely the opening session, which will be attended by 30 leaders and NATO allies.Zhovkva said, according to the local Ukrinform agency.
He noted that the event will result in its acceptance. A new strategic defense concept for NATO to face the next ten years.
A final declaration will be approved at this meeting, and according to Zhovkva, the situation in Ukraine and the Russian aggression that began on February 24 will play an important role in these documents.
