According to the broadcast hosts, Vulcan is supposed to deliver the Peregrine landing module, which Astrobotic is developing for future NASA missions, to Earth’s natural satellite.
In the future, the module is expected to be used by the American space agency, including for commercial cargo delivery. According to ULA, the spacecraft, which is planned to be delivered to the lunar surface, also contains commercial cargo.
According to experts, Peregrine is expected to reach the Moon on February 23. If successful, Vulcan could replace the Atlas V rocket, which the company has used as its main cargo delivery vehicle in recent years.
