“All five modules of the wintering complex will operate at full capacity by the beginning of 2025,” the minister said at a meeting with members of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s government.
According to the head of the department, the third construction season of the station started in November 2023. Kozlov said 176 builders arrived in Antarctica to build the remaining two modules. He stated that there was no problem in financing the construction.
“At the same time, up to 35 scientists will be able to live and work at the station during the season and up to 15 polar explorers during the winter,” the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources said.
