The Hernani museum will also feature an exhibition of Chillida’s sculptures belonging to the Telefónica Collection between 15 May and 13 October 2024.
The family wants to celebrate this centenary “Chillida’s values, sensitivity and contributions to contemporary art history”and all of this will be featured in various publications and in a documentary directed by Arantxa Aguirre.
The aim is also to bring the artist closer to the youngest through initiatives with the comic book “Elmap de Chillida” and the teaching unit “100 years of Eduardo Chillida”.
But the creator of “El Peine del Viento” will be remembered in much more ways, with a specially created montage of dance and music of the Euskadiko Orchestra on the one hand and the Bilbao Choral Society on the other.
