American magazine columnist Forbes David Ax expressed the opinion that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) face a serious threat due to the new version of the Russian kamikaze drone “Lancet”.
The defeat of the Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft by Lancet at Dolgintsevo airbase near Krivoy Rog, the journalist reported, citing a video published on the X social network. He noted that this was the second attack by a Russian drone on a Ukrainian aircraft at this airport in three weeks.
Ex emphasized that the new version of Lancet has a much wider flight range than the previous one. Therefore, the new version of the drone poses a serious threat to the Ukrainian Air Force. The journalist concluded that the Ukrainian command had apparently not learned a lesson from the previous Russian drone attack on Dolgintsevo airfield, in which a MiG-29 fighter jet was destroyed on September 19.
According to Axe, if Ukraine doesn’t start hiding its planes, they could be destroyed by Russian Lancets.
