Once a week, sincere intimacy is often associated with harmonious relationships in a pair. This result was reached by scientists from Germany and Canada. Research Results published In the Journal of Family Psychology.
More than two thousand heterosexual couples between 20 to 39 years of age attended the study. The average duration of their relationship was 10 years.
The participants have predicted the frequency of sexual contact in the last three months, and also expressed the degree of satisfaction with the relationships on scale from 0 to 10. The largest group – 86% – once had sex once a week and also showed the highest emotional proximity and commitment to the partner, and rarely showed conflicts.
Less satisfied relationships, two to three times a month sex, more often vapor vapor and emotions had difficulty in expressing. A total of 2.3% of the participants reported that sincerity was a happy relationship in the absence of sincerity – such cases were extremely rare. Another 10% was couples where only one of the partners were satisfied with.
The authors emphasize that results should not be perceived as a universal norm: the study includes only young heterosexual couples from Germany. However, the main result remains important: regular sincere life – on average once a week – often accompanied by a sense of happiness in a relationship.
