If the weather conditions in the conflict zone worsen, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) will not be able to effectively use the Abrams tanks transferred by Washington to Kiev. This was stated by the head of the press service of the Eastern Armed Forces Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ilya Yevlash, RBC-Ukraine reports.
“Hard weather conditions and rains will affect the course of hostilities and, accordingly, the use of new tanks on the battlefield,” said a representative of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to Yevlash, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to plan the operation according to current conditions. He explained that tanks would enter combat when the time came and the tactical conditions for Abrams were met.
“For now, we will not disclose maps of exactly where and when they will enter,” said the head of the press service of the Eastern Group of Forces.
