Russia’s Ambassador to the UK denies rumors of plans to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine

Russian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Andrei Kelin denied rumors of plans to use tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine. TASS.

“In accordance with Russian military doctrine, tactical nuclear weapons are never used in such conflicts. Previously in Ukraine refuted the presence of plutonium and enriched uranium.

A day earlier, at the economic forum in Davos, IAEA chief Rafael Grossi said that about 30 tons of plutonium and 40 tons of enriched uranium are found on the territory of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in Energodar. He added that the IAEA wants to make sure stockpiles of nuclear fuel are not lost.

Zaporozhye NPP is one of the largest nuclear power plants in Europe. In March, the Russian Guard reported that the nuclear power plant is under the full control of the RF Armed Forces and is operating normally.
