A popular blogger from Japan, known online as homosapi, posted a video on his channel of cooking and eating poisonous jellyfish soup. The man explained his behavior by saying that he was interested in knowing if it would be tasty. He also wanted to prove by his example that they could beat it.
After the cook thoroughly washed the jellyfish, he began to cook it. He boiled the inhabitants of the sea, stirring with a spoon, until they turned into a homogeneous mass. The man mixed the resulting jelly with vegetables and added a few sauces to the dish to enhance the taste.
The Japanese said that after trying his creation, the dish reminded him of scallops. Later, the man told subscribers that he felt great and did not feel the effects of side effects.
The Homosapi video received mixed reactions from viewers. People criticized him for being careless and urged others not to repeat the experience.
Shuhei Ikeda, a jellyfish breeder, said there is a danger of poisoning even when cooking such species – you can inhale the toxic fumes.
