Deputy Chepa said the United States opposes Russia’s ability to express its position
The United States opposes Russia’s ability to express its views on various issues in international forums. This reason for the United States’ desire to exclude the country from the G20 (G20) was mentioned by Alexei Chepa, First Vice-Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, writes Izvestia.
According to him, all negotiations in the world at the moment are important, both for the G20 and the G7. For their behavior it is necessary to be able to convey their point of view. “Today the United States has declared war on Russia. And everything that happens is the result of this war. And, of course, Americans are very concerned about the possibility that at any meeting, including the G20, we can express our position on this or that issue. They are against it in every way,” Chepa said.
Those who want to hear Russia will hear it, the deputy added. There are countries in the G20 that will oppose the exclusion of Russia, such as China. They perfectly understand that different states should have opposing views, this should be discussed, the politician concluded.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said US presidential adviser Jake Sullivan’s initiative to exclude Russia from the G20 is Washington’s policy to pressure other countries, but a number of states will still stand by their minds.
