In the Kaliningrad region, exercises of the Baltic Fleet were held using S-400 air defense systems
Military personnel of the air defense unit (air defense) of the Baltic Fleet conducted exercises in the Kaliningrad region. Crews of anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) S-400 “Triumph” worked out the tasks of finding targets. This was reported by Interfax-AVN.
“The crews of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) have worked out the tasks of detecting, identifying and tracking air targets of a fake enemy,” the Baltic Fleet said in a statement.
The protection of the S-400 systems was provided by the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun systems (ZRPK). Short-range systems worked out the tasks of detecting and destroying targets imitating enemy drones and helicopters. The military conducted electronic launches of ZRPK missiles.
In March, United States Air Force (AAF) pilot John Venable called the S-400 the world’s deadliest air defense system. He noted the long range of the S-400.
In January, it became known that the crews of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system of the Dmitrovsky anti-aircraft missile regiment went into battle. Air defense systems will cover the central industrial region of Russia.
