Lavrov called the ultimate goal of the West in the confrontation with Russia

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov called the revival of the unipolar world the ultimate goal of the West

The revival of a unipolar world is the ultimate and main goal of the collective West in confrontation with Russia and other sovereign countries, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, TASS reports.

“There is no doubt that one of the rules the West wants to introduce is to curtail a competitor. Now here is Russia, China will be proclaimed next, or all this will happen at the same time. And the goal of this rules-based world order is nothing less than the complete revival of the unipolar world,” the minister said.

Earlier, the minister said that Russia’s special operation in Ukraine has thwarted the West’s anti-Russian project. According to Lavrov, against the background of the hostile plans of Western countries, Moscow had no choice in starting hostilities. He called large-scale anti-Russian sanctions “the West’s response to the disruption of its plans.”
