Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation: AFU fighter sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing two civilians with a flamethrower 19:18

A member of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Andriy Karmanov, was sentenced by a Russian court to 20 years in a strict regime colony for killing two residents in Rubizhne, Luhansk People’s Republic, with a flamethrower. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia in its Telegram.channel.

A former fighter of the 81st Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was found guilty of using prohibited methods and generally dangerous murder during an armed conflict. According to the Russian Investigative Committee, the man pleaded guilty and repented of his act.

According to investigators, on April 2, 2022, Karmanov fired twice from a rocket-propelled flamethrower at a Peugeot car with civilians trying to leave the city. Two people were killed and three injured.
