Estonian Ministry of Defense: Republic will receive NASAMS air defense system from Spain for four months 19:38

The press service of the Estonian Ministry of Defense reported that in April the republic will receive a NASAMS air defense system (air defense) from Spain for four months. It has been reported DEA News.

The publication states that Hanno Pevkur, head of the Estonian Ministry of Defense, and his Spanish colleague Margarita Robles agree on this.

Pevkur emphasized that it is important for Estonia to get the support of its allies before the emergence of its own air defense systems.

“Over the past year, NATO’s eastern flank has grown significantly and, given the need to fill a critical gap in Estonia’s medium-range air defense capabilities, I am pleased that we have reached an agreement with Spain to send medium-range NASAMS MSMS. “The defense system to Estonia for four months from April of this year,” said the Estonian minister.
