Actress Maria Shumakova admitted in an interview with socialbites.ca that she is very interested in working with director Konstantin Bogomolov.
“This is a huge acting achievement. There is a lot of speculation around: I have often come across the fact that people could not stand Bogomolov, despite seeing only one of his performances or not watching at all. It is interesting to work with Konstantin Yurievich – always a deep and comprehensive analysis. You never know what to expect from him, which is great for building human and professional resilience,” said Shumakova.
According to him, working with Bogomolov helped him learn a lot about himself. The artist said that the director might praise his play one day and criticize it for mistakes the next.
“You find in yourself some new colors and ugly aspects of the human essence. Since it is not very interesting to play the ideal heroes of the era of classicism, it is more exciting to explore human nature, which does not manifest itself only in good intentions, ”Shumakova summed up.
