As part of the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy (ENIA), as announced by the government, the aim of this plan is to promote cross-level knowledge transfer between universities and companies in the areas of potential development of artificial intelligence. robotics or aeronautics, but also music, health sciences or demographic challenge.
The public and private investment of 50 million Euros, which is expected to be mobilized with this platform, will serve to finance the research, dissemination and scientific transfer projects of around 150 researchers. All projects aiming for the Presidency will be presented in 2023, with a maximum duration of four years, and eight national projects are expected to be funded initially, and eight more, which may involve foreign companies or universities.
In addition, the National Cyber Security Institute (INCIBE) has announced 16 more research chairs in its field. Topics in this case will be towards advanced cryptography resistant to quantum attacks, innovative solutions in cybersecurity for 5G networks, systems for monitoring crypto transactions, or promoting cyber resilience in the supply chain.
“We need more than 22,000 qualified cybersecurity professionals because this is growing so fast that we either perform these actions to inject resources or risk not having them when we need them,” said INCIBE managing director. Reminding that Spain is one of the countries that receive the most cyber attacks, Felix Barrios said.
