How to kill the main character: the school killer path
The dramatic moment arrives when Romka acts in a jealous rage, leading to the protagonist being fatally wounded. The scene shows the consequences of Romka’s brutal actions, including a man’s arrest and a stark portrayal of a grave site. The atmosphere remains heavy as the decision points funnel toward a final consequence.
How to unlock this ending: it appears if the player is friends with Polina but did not obtain the amulet in the third episode. Alternatively, if a bond with Alice exists and Polina is chosen as a photographed image, Romka will confront the player with a life ending driven by jealousy. The result is the haunting achievement labeled School Killer.
How to escape death and befriend forest creatures: the Mr. Hyde route
In this arc the protagonist becomes entangled with the gifts from the wild. At first the changes seem to bring harmony: parental conflicts soften and girls show interest. Yet this is an illusion. Disappearances continue and the monsters demand ever more victims, squeezing the family and forcing grim choices.
How to reach this ending: it is available to players who choose a lone path. If Polina is involved and the amulet is taken, or if the player is friends with Alice and Romka’s drawing is selected, a later chat with Santa presents a choice — accept the beasts’ gifts or refuse. To obtain this conclusion, the player must accept the candy offered by Santa.
The finale carries the Mr. Hyde designation as the trophy for completing this route.
How to save the main character: the Dr. Jekyll ending
The rescue path is the only ending where the protagonist survives and humanity endures. The animal forces allow a chance to depart, though one character remains unsaveable. The tension of the forest and the family story converge in a hopeful, difficult moment that preserves life.
How to reach this ending: to become Polina’s ally, the amulet must be taken in the third episode. If the player spends time with Alice, the image of Romka must be chosen. In the challenge with Santa, the player should refuse the gifts. The fox presents a jelly option, and the player should also reject that option. This revelation shows the true nature of all the creatures while offering a possible escape from danger.
This ending unlocks the Doctor Jekyll achievement.
