Steam Early Access is now open. Shadow’s Kiss is an expansive open-world multiplayer vampire RPG that has been in development for more than six years. The project was first announced in 2016, marking the debut of its initial alpha test and setting the stage for years of ongoing work.

Set within the fictional town of San Cipriano, Shadow’s Kiss drops players into a rich, atmospheric world populated by gothic vampires, steampunk-inspired hunters, occult necromancers, and the lingering remnants of Victorian-era ghosts. The game emphasizes a climate of intimidation, shifting alliances, and delicate diplomacy as core mechanics. Players will experience an unusual blend of tactical, turn-based combat and strategic resource management, including the ability to convert exhausted mortals into loyal vampire followers. A necromancy system compels the risen dead to serve the protagonist, creating a distinctive power dynamic central to the gameplay and narrative.

In its current state, the game offers about 30 playable levels, along with the majority of its key features and mechanics. During the Early Access period, which is planned to span roughly one to a year and a half, developers aim to complete the main storyline, expand the game world, and refine technical performance to deliver a smoother experience for players across platforms.

Steam notes that Shadow’s Kiss contains mature content, including scenes of nudity and elements of seduction involving younger-character archetypes, which players should consider before entering the game.

At present, the project is priced at 880 rubles. The price is expected to rise after the official release. In an unexpected twist of cross-media whimsy, a popular comic-book figure makes a playful cameo in the steampunk setting, interacting with allies and adversaries alike as the world evolves.

Note: the game’s development team continues to share progress updates and community insights as Shadow’s Kiss grows toward its broader launch and post-release roadmap.
