Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has been pitched as one of the most optimized market releases, but players keep pushing for more. A modder using the handle Jindra1403 released an Ultra Low Graphics Mode that deliberately adds potato-like visuals to the game.
Once the mod is installed, even high-end setups feel the crunch. The game runs at 1280 by 720 resolution, textures lose sharpness, and in game objects resemble molded plastic. The so-called potato regime particularly alters the look of buildings and NPCs, giving them cartoonish expressions that many players find entertaining or ridiculous.
The mod is available for download through community pages. The author has not disclosed exact performance gains, so players will need to test it on their own hardware.
A few years earlier, editors tested a similar mod for the first game.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 released on February 4. On opening night the game drew around 160,000 concurrent players and earned a high initial rating near 92 percent.
In PC gaming news for North American players, the Bongo Cat Demo arrived on Steam as a playful desktop distraction.
