How to install mods for Euro Truck Simulator 2
With a Steam version, open the desired mod in the Steam Workshop and click the green Subscribe button. The necessary files download automatically and become available the next time the game starts.
Alternately, players can install third‑party mods that bypass Steam Workshop. Copy the downloaded files to the folder My Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod or extract the archive there, depending on the file format.
Real Traffic Density ETS2 (1.46) – higher road traffic density
The default traffic density is set low to avoid overtaxing systems. Over the past decade, hardware has improved, so extra traffic won’t bog down performance. This mod boosts daytime traffic flow, especially during peak hours, and adds new behavior for passenger cars, which can now overtake or accelerate up to 35% faster than usual.
