“Instant Image” is a quick tester for Genshin Impact, released as part of the event called “Children’s Story.” This guide explains how to start the quest, where to locate the animals inhabiting Sumeru, and how to photograph them with the in-game camera.
Get access to the Wandering in the Wilderness Challenge: Instant Image
To join the challenge, players must meet a few prerequisites:
- Reach adventure rank 20.
- Unlock the Sumeru region, which became available with Update 3.0.
- Complete the story mission “In the Footsteps of the Wisdom Deity,” offered within the Archon quest chain “Through Smoke and Dark Woods: Volume 3, Chapter 1” (this step is optional).
If an optional requirement needs to be bypassed, open the event section and tap the button at the bottom left labeled “Quick start.”
How to start the Wandering in the Thicket: Instant Vision challenge and complete the Forsaken Toy quest
After finishing the quest “In the Footsteps of the Wisdom Deity,” choose “Children’s Tale” from the event menu and select “to the task.” The journey leads to Gandharva, where Tangier can be found. Speak with companions, and the squad will be refreshed with a new ally—Collei.
Following a few Tangier errands, a new item will appear—the first class camera. This device permits photographing rare animals exclusive to Sumeru. Note that the camera will disappear on 9/28/2022 at 8:00 AM.
How to pass the “Creations of the Rainforest” task. Where to find mushroom pig, shaggy stink jacket, spinokrok and tiger richboland
In this task, four animals must be located:
- Mushroom pig.
- Rough smelly jacket.
- Spinocroci, known as spinokrok in some regions.
- Tiger richboland.
Players can always consult the interactive map to search for animals, plants, chests, and other valuable items. Markers can also help as a hint. On the event page, open the challenge and click “Making pictures.” A camera icon then appears on the world map.
Where to find mushroom pig? These creatures roam many parts of Sumeru. A significant population gathers near the region’s entrance, not far from Cinnabar Rock. Mushroom pigs tend to be shy, resembling ordinary boars found elsewhere in Teyvat.
Where to locate Shaggy Stinky Yak
Shaggy stinky yaks graze close to water and are hard to miss due to their size. Check the area between Vimar Village and Yazadah Purd to encounter them. Defeating each yak yields three pieces of raw meat.
Where to find spinocroci
Spinocroci resemble crocodiles and prefer being in water. Look for waterfalls and streams scattered through the forest thickets. Hunting these crocodilians yields a fair amount of raw meat.
Where to find the rishboland tiger
The final beast on the list tends to appear near Gandha Slope. Tigers often show up during the day, so adjusting the Paimon menu in advance helps. They can also appear along trails, yet more commonly hide beneath trees in remote spots.
