Developers at Ascendant Studios have released a new video showing Immortals of Aveum, the magical shooter, with a focus on refining player skills. The project has effectively reached a gold state, meaning no additional delays or transfers are expected as the game progresses toward launch.
In Immortals of Aveum, magic is organized into three elemental colors: green, red, and blue. Green magic emphasizes illusion, environment manipulation, and deception aimed at confusing enemies. Red magic is built for close-quarters destruction and aggressive impact, while blue magic focuses on protective measures, shields, and electric-based offenses.
The effectiveness of any spell depends on the foe it targets. Each ability carries its own color cue, signaling the best situational choice during combat to maximize impact.
Progression relies on Ascension points earned through defeating adversaries. The skill tree includes two extra branches that unlock various power-ups, enabling players to tailor their builds not only to personal skill but also to the equipment they equip. This system invites players to craft a highly personalized playstyle that suits their preferred combat approach.
Immortals of Aveum is slated for release on August 22 for PC, with preload already available, on PS5 where preload begins August 20, and on Xbox Series X / S where preload is already accessible. The game studio has confirmed that the title will not undergo additional platform transfers after this stage, allowing fans to look forward to a well-optimized launch across the three platforms.
