Completing those tasks unlocks a passage to an ancient underground cave, and the cave location is marked on the map. A nearby teleporter can speed up the journey.
Proceed by swimming into the nearest cavern to begin the encounter.
How to defeat the Magic Sword of Circle
Before the fight, grab the octopus that swims nearby. It can provide a small edge during the battle.
The monster releases bubbles that deal heavy damage. It’s crucial to dodge them or shoot back from the side to disrupt its rhythm.
Characters like Freminet and Neuvillette help thanks to their reduced underwater stamina consumption and quick dashes. Bringing one of these teammates can improve survivability in the environment.
Another tactic is to hold the elemental skill key and target the bubbles. They will be redirected toward the mollusk, effectively turning the attack back on the boss.
This counter approach acts like a parry, allowing the player to defeat the monster by turning its own skill against it. Hitting the boss multiple times is essential to win.
Players should be mindful of making mistakes. Choosing a tanky character increases the margin for error. Good options include Tartaglia, Keqing, Eola, Albedo, Kazuha, Al-Haitham, Kokomi, Ayato, Ye Lan, Zhongli, and Hu Tao. Reward for defeating the Magic Sword of Circle
Defeating the mollusk opens access to a precious chest and a mysterious Xenochrome Crystal. The achievement list also updates with the entry “Magic Sword Circle,” awarding 5 source stones.
There is an additional reward linked to the mollusk: once per day it revives, allowing another battle. Collecting all three Xenochrome Crystals enables you to sell them to a merchant named Mate Pete for a reward of 20,000 mora each. Completing this task also grants the achievement “Unenchanted World” and an extra 5 source stones. The merchant’s location appears on the map for convenience.
