How to start the world quest “Amazing Scent” in Genshin Impact

Strolling through the Bello region or entering the dungeon “Pale Forgotten Flower” brings a chance meeting with a man buried up to his head in earth. Nearby, a few overgrown crabs roam; clearing the area of monsters eases the way forward.

Talk to Henry and listen to his sparse tale. The party members will decide to search the surroundings to understand what happened.

Take a look around

Four interactive items lie along the beach near the hut:

  1. Strange device.
  2. Spade.
  3. Fried chicken.
  4. Suspicious persons.

Interact with three objects, then locate the last one. A short walk across the road to the hill reveals two men on the right. Speaking with them updates the quest progress.

What happened to Henry – how to compare the facts and form an opinion

A window opens to compare and interpret the gathered facts. Useful options appear here:

  • Choose the option labeled Self-Proclaimed “Cosmetic Remedy” and use interpretation to interpret the message “Scream Outsiders.” Then compare it with the evidence, including “Two Passersby.”

A new item shows up as “Fear of Two Passersby.” Use the Interpret tool and blend it with the idea “Kick on the Edge.” Note that reversing the facts will not yield results.

That leads to a new thought: “Someone Buried Henry Here,” which fits as a sensible conclusion.

Why Henry was buried in the ground – how to compare the facts and submit an opinion

After the analysis completes, Turner and Hunter reappear. A short cutscene follows, guiding players to uncover why Henry was buried by two strangers.

  • First study all thoughts and interpret them to reveal two new entries – “Salivating” And “Hiding for Safety.”

Next, study and combine the clues. A new thought, “Lesson for the Future,” arises and lines up with the clue “Broken device” to yield the interpretation “Due to device failure.”

The remaining facts do not add much to the core study. Present the strongest conclusion and wait for the next scene. The man explains that he worked with cores for mechanisms, but others interfered. Henry would not yield, yet ultimately he was buried to teach a lesson.

In addition, there is a suggestion to search for mysterious cores, which appear when solving mechanism puzzles. For guidance on locating all seven mysterious cores, readers should consult this guide.

  • Source stones (30);
  • Adventure XP (200);
  • Mora (15,000);
  • Hero experience (2).
