Ghostrunner 2 continues the fast paced first person action in a post apocalyptic world. The sequel expands with more enemies, more environments, and more hidden challenges. This guide explains how to locate artifacts, swords, upgrade chips, audio logs, and the various trials waiting off the beaten path.
Level 1: Uninvited guests
In this opening stage players can collect five artifacts, two swords, and one hidden challenge. A boss fight unlocks soon after this level, a story driven confrontation that yields a sword upon completion.
Artifact #1
When the complex entrance is reached, pass through the single doorway and turn right at the next door. The route continues to the next objective, but the ventilation shaft must be found. Enter it and locate the Recruitment Flyer artifact.
Artifact #2
Proceed with the narrative until a broad platform with containers appears. The quest marker leads left, but the player should head right to reach the climb to the containers and obtain the Energetic artifact.
Artifact #3
Look left in the same zone where the previous artifact was found. A short, bright hallway opens up, and inside rests the Alternative Money artifact.
Artifact #4
After crossing the subway monorails, two enemy filled platforms appear. After clearing them, avoid entering the marked door. Turn right, climb higher, and locate a ventilation hatch that can be broken with a dash; behind it lies the Tarot cards artifact.
Artifact #5
Following the prior item a small obstacle course leads to multiple enemy zones. Eliminate the first foe, but do not rush into the second area. Instead, ascend to the ventilation shaft and smash the entrance. The Fried Rat Meat artifact rests behind the containers here.
Hidden Challenge #1
This terminal appears right after the first clue. Three large platforms hold enemies as well as Artifact #5. The challenge is to pass through all cyber gates within a tight time frame to earn a reward based on performance.
Sword No. 1
Right after the search for the previous artifact, a short obstacle sequence begins. Jump onto monorails, grab the hook, and when on the pipes notice the first yellow bars. Pause, look downward, and beside the pipe you will see the ventilation shaft entrance where the Owl Sword awaits.
Sword No. 2
In the next large area move along the left side. An enemy with a machine gun stands there. Drop the billboard on it to reveal a hidden passage. Inside is the sword TESABLOODBATH074.
Sword No. 3
The Canceler sword is earned by defeating the first boss immediately after finishing Uninvited Guests.
Level 2: Preparation
In the second level players will find audio recordings and memory fragments. Upgrade chips are vital to upgrading the motherboard and learning new skills. users also gain access to one additional sword.
Upgrade chip #1
At the start of the second level the ventilation shaft reveals the first upgrade segment that is hard to miss.
Audio recording #1
Early in the level a short tutorial appears. After finishing it, drain the water and head toward the gate. Do not rush inside. Turn right and locate two fans that guide to the audio recording Mystery.
Upgrade chip #2
After draining the water in the main hall the player enters the next area. Follow the mini map to reach the chip. It will appear in the story, so pick it up when encountered.
Upgrade chip #3
A bit later a junction appears. The narrative suggests going left, but the sensible choice is to go right and grab the chip.
Upgrade chip #4
Following an introduction to a new enemy type, descend and trigger a barrel explosion as part of the tutorial. Stand at the platform edge and look down to spot another chip.
Audio recording #2
Continuing the level brings new foes. After destroying a fuel barrel to remove two enemies, cross a rope to the far side. Two fans sit at the end; climb them, then follow the minimap to reach the conversion audio log.
Hidden Challenge #2
Right after the audio log, three platforms with enemies await. Eliminate all foes and locate the terminal behind the large fan.
To complete the challenge, destroy all red blocks in under 30 seconds. A simple trick is to rotate the camera and shoot the blocks in sequence.
Upgrade chips #5 and #6
On three platforms with a hidden test terminal, throw shuriken at the blue button and ride the fan higher. Two chips appear simultaneously on separate platforms.
Sword No. 4
After the energy doors open the player enters an area with two arenas. A sword sits on the top floor. To claim it, clear the right side enemies, toggle the fans, then enter the left arena. At the top, stop by the wall and sprint past it to obtain the Metal Limb Sword.
Upgrade chip #7
This chip is nearly impossible to miss. After passing the energy door sequence and the two platforms with foes, use the grappling hook to reach the straight path. A chip is visible from the distant platform.
