Geoglyphs in Tears of the Kingdom: Complete Location Guide

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players discover special items called geoglyphs, which drive the game’s story forward. This guide explains how to locate every geoglyph, provides exact coordinates, and marks their positions on the map.

The Geoglyph Quest begins after meeting Kado, who accompanies Impa to the New Serenne Stable. Impa stands on a stone pedestal in the field’s center. Repair the balloon and use Ultrahand to lift it into the air, revealing the geoglyph below. This lets players study the ground markings and spot the small Tears of Memories pools.

All geoglyphs appear as teardrop shapes. When you land on one and interact, a special cutscene (flashback) plays and a memory is unlocked.

Location map of all geoglyphs

Below is a map showing where each geoglyph sits within Tears of the Kingdom. Each geoglyph is assigned a game number, which corresponds to the memories you can view after discovery. For players who want to experience memories in a specific order, it helps to activate geoglyphs in numerical sequence.

How to find all geoglyphs

There are twelve geoglyphs available. Most become accessible at the start of the quest line known as Imp and Geoglyphs, while the final geoglyph unlocks after locating the others.

Geoglyph 1

The reminder memory Where Am I? is near the New Serenne Stable, where the quest begins. A crack sits near the top of the geoglyph.

    Geoglyph 2

The geoglyph An Unfamiliar World hides northwest of the Tower of Lindor Brow Skyview in Hebra, within the Hebra region. The crack is just beneath the summit area.

      Geoglyph 3

The memory Mineru’s Counsel sits in Zora’s Western Domain. Inspect the central portion of the geoglyph to trigger the memory.

        Geoglyph 4

The Gerudo Assault is located to the west of the Dueling Peaks area.

          Geoglyph 5

The memorial A Show of Fealty sits on a mountainside in the Gerudo Highlands, facing the desert. The crack appears on the upper rock and is visible only on flat surfaces.

            Geoglyph 6

Search north of the Gerudo Highlands near Hyrule Ridge for the next geoglyph crack.

              Geoglyph 7

Head along the southeastern coast near the Horn, by the village of Lurelin, to find the Sonia Is Caught by Treachery geoglyph.

                Geoglyph 8

The eighth geoglyph, Birth of the Demon King, lies in the Tabant tundra to the north. The teardrop symbol sits on the left side of the design.

                  Geoglyph 9

Follow the east coast of Hyrule, southeast of Zora’s Domain, to unlock The Sage’s Vow memory.

                    Geoglyph 10

The memory A King’s Duty appears on the western shore of Lake Hylia.

                      Geoglyph 11

The second-to-last geoglyph sits between Skyview Tower ruins and the Eldin Mountains, linking to the A Master Sword in Time memory.

                        Geoglyph 12

After eleven tears are found, a secret twelfth memory unlocks on the map (4534, 2144, 0000). Visiting this location opens access to the true ending and grants the best sword in the game.
