When will Genshin Impact 3.3 be released?
Fans can expect the update to drop on a December release window with in-game events and banners valid for a limited period. Exact timing varies by region, and banner windows run for several weeks, allowing players to chase favored characters and weapons as the content unfolds.
Which characters arrive with the 3.3 update?
The 3.3 banners bring two new heroes. The first is Scaramuccia (Wanderer), a five-star Anemo character who wields a catalyst. Once a boss, Scaramuccia enters playable status and serves as a primary attacker in teams. A separate guide covers this hero in detail.
The second new recruit is Faruzan, an Anemo Archer who shines in a supportive role. Her elemental burst can trigger a dispelling reaction when paired with other elements, significantly boosting elemental damage for the team.
Additionally, Arataki Itto returns as a five-star Geo character, with a banner running through the initial period of the update. The mechanics of repeat summons are discussed in a dedicated guide.
In the second phase of the update, from late December to mid-January, players will be able to re-obtain two more five-star characters: Raiden Shogun, an Electro Spearman, and Kamisato Ayato, a Hydro Swordsman.
What weapons become available with the 3.3 update?
The new banners feature the five-star memories of Tulaytulla Catalyst, Scaramuccia’s signature weapon, with detailed notes available in the hero guide. Swordsmen can obtain the four-star Tokobo Shigure, earned as a free reward for completing the Akitsu Kimodameshi event, which will be explained below.
What artifact sets come with Genshin Impact 3.3?
Chronicles of Halls in the Desert offers sets that increase Anemo elemental damage and attack speed as well as normal and charged attack damage. The effect activates after landing a charged hit, making it a solid pairing for Scaramucci. The Flower of Paradise Lost set boosts Elemental Mastery and enhances specific elemental reactions, with a stacking bonus that can improve performance for Dendro, Hydro, and Electro supports. It’s especially useful when Tignari is the main attacker and other elements are relied upon for support.
The exact location of these artifacts remains undisclosed at this time.
New events will come after Genshin Impact 3.3
Limited-time events offer exclusive rewards and valuable resources, including the Crown of Insight, which helps max out hero talents. Here are a few ongoing event themes players can expect:
Akitsu Kimodameshi
This event series takes players back to the Inazuma Islands. Access to this region may be required if it hasn’t been unlocked yet.
The event features a block-breaking challenge reminiscent of classic Arkanoid gameplay, with a generous reward pool for completing all stages.
- Source stones (990);
- Mora (1,440,000);
- Hero Experience (48);
- enchantment magic ore (62);
- Tokabo shigure sword (1).
wild race
Players race to collect balloons within a time limit, with bonuses available before the run. Co-op play is supported for this event as well.
In the wake of the wind
A familiar theme from early 2022 returns with Rebels and Hunters. The goal is to hide or seek, and new twists include illusory beacons that mislead hunters. Co-op play is available again.
Fog Dungeon: Kingdom of Sand
This is a new Mist Dungeon challenge featuring puzzles that involve aligning force lines along with combat trials. A thematic guide covers the setup and strategy for these tasks.
New game mode – Sacred Call of the Seven
Post 3.3, a collectible card game called Sacred Call of the Seven will enter Genshin Impact. The structure resembles card battlers like Gwent or Hearthstone, with active characters, support and summoning cards, and a randomly chosen element each match. Victory goes to the player who defeats the enemy’s three heroes first. The roster will expand over time, and both AI and live multiplayer modes are supported. Additional details will be shared after the update.
