VK announced an upcoming 9-11th anniversary event featuring well-known bloggers and artists. It was also announced that an educational project called KRC has been launched for first-grade students.
The project presents simplified summaries of literary works from school curricula through podcasts, short vertical videos, and animated clips.
The goal of the KRC initiative is to spark interest and curiosity in classical literature among young learners. It covers 49 works from both Russian and international literature. The educational platform Uchi.ru served as the methodological partner for the project.
Among the project episodes is a 20-episode series on VK Music, narrated by Leon Kemstach, an actor from the show The Boy’s Word, together with artist Amirchik. Each episode delivers a ten-minute recap of works such as The Fate of Man, Oblomov, Mtsyri, Woe from Wit, A Hero of Our Time, and others.
Users can access the KRC podcast in the Books and Programs section of the VK Music app and in the music section of the VKontakte mobile app. The library of summaries is planned to be updated regularly.
The organizers also produced a collection of clips featuring popular bloggers. Kamila Valieva, Artem Waterfork, Sasha Novikov, Jan Dylan, and others provide brief overviews of The Captain’s Daughter, The Inspector General, The Storm, and 17 additional works from Russian classics. Materials are available in the VK Holidays community on VKontakte and in VK Clips using the hashtags Koroche and krch.
Animation fans will enjoy KRC.Conspect, a collaboration with Artemy Lebedev Studio. This collection includes 30 animated retellings of literary works, voiced by notable cultural figures such as TV host Anton Lavrentyev, dancer Maria Khoreva, poets Anna Egoyan and Vladimir Ponkin. The content is branded with tags KRC videos and boring recaps on VK Clips.
Schoolchildren have already been reminded of key insights that can help them excel in the Unified State Exam, potentially achieving top scores. (Source: VK)
