Techland unveiled its latest event, Dying 2 Know More, where developers announced the return of Tower Assault and offered a preview of upcoming features for Dying Light 2 Stay Human. The presentation shared details that extended beyond Halloween festivities, including insights into the forthcoming Winter Event and the grand celebration planned for the franchise’s tenth anniversary. According to Techland’s official communications [Techland press release], players can anticipate a mix of familiar thrills and new challenges throughout the season.
Return of Tower Assault
This special edition not only reopens the tower doors but also introduces a variety of fresh levels, weapons, and rewards. Players will encounter the return of Baka, an old ally who provides new hunts and challenges from the Bazaar. Across the three weeks of the event, new mechanics and rewards will be rolled out. In the first week, players can explore a new progression mode; in the second, they face the Elite Assault challenge to secure exclusive rewards; and in the third week, daily rewards become available throughout the tower.
Spooky Levels and Characters
Players must climb the eight floors of the Plaza Esperanza tower, where each level features modifiers that affect both protagonists and enemies. Those who conquer these trials will face a formidable final boss on the rooftop. This Halloween edition of Tower Assault is fully dressed in festive decor, enhancing the atmosphere and adding a celebratory touch to the experience.
In addition to the new levels, the protagonists also receive updates with fresh costumes and outfits. A character selection system is introduced, letting players choose from four classes, each with unique abilities: Scarecrow, Pest, Van Aiden, and the Cursed Pirate.
Advantages and Rewards
The Halloween Edition of Tower Assault can be challenging, but the unique advantages offered by Baka provide extra opportunities to overcome obstacles. Rewards include new outfits, gear pieces, and weapons, obtainable through candies gathered on the tower floors.
