Sber and Sechenov University have formalized a cooperative agreement focused on education, career guidance, and social support initiatives. The partnership, disclosed by Sber’s press service, highlights a joint effort to advance artificial intelligence models, expand digital education programs for students, and develop digital products and services that leverage biometric and voice technologies.

The collaboration aims to accelerate smart monitoring for health outcomes and to streamline online medical scheduling, while laying the groundwork for future initiatives that apply artificial intelligence to imaging studies such as X-rays and chest CT scans. Sergei Zhdanov, director of the Sberbank Health Industry Center, underscored the new emphasis on expanding professional training for physicians as part of this broader alliance.

In addition to clinical and technical projects, the two institutions are expanding their educational collaboration. School 21’s intensive Python and SQL programming courses are incorporated into the Institute of Digital Medicine at Sechenov University as part of a program called Developer of Digital Medical Services, which complements the institution’s broader training portfolio.

The collaboration is described as having begun prior to the formal agreement and already delivering results across several initiatives. Andrey Svistunov, First Vice-Rector of Sechenov University, noted the strength of Sber’s capabilities in artificial intelligence and high‑tech development, suggesting these strengths will drive joint projects in the near term. The partnership is aligned with strategic priorities reported by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

In 2023, ten Sechenov University clinics were integrated with the SberHealth online service, enabling patients to schedule in-person consultations with doctors more efficiently. This milestone illustrates how the alliance combines advanced digital tools with the university’s clinical network to improve patient access and care coordination.
