The Geekbench database has surfaced new benchmarking data for Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold5, ahead of its expected late July 2023 unveiling.

According to a June 30 disclosure, the global SM-F946B Galaxy Z Fold5 achieved 1,845 in the single core test and 5,083 in the multi core test. Those scores mark a meaningful jump from the previous year’s model, which managed 1,241 and 3,708 respectively, signaling noticeable gains in processor performance for the new device.

Geekbench confirms that the Galaxy Z Fold5 will be powered by an overclocked 3.36 GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, backed by 12 GB of RAM and running Android 13. This configuration positions the foldable ahead of many rivals on performance, particularly in multi tasking and demanding workloads.

Industry chatter hints at an updated hinge design for the Z Fold5, aimed at eliminating the gap between the two halves when the screen is folded. In addition, the device is expected to be slightly lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold4 and to feature upgraded camera systems, enhancing overall usability and photography quality.

Alongside the Galaxy Z Fold5, rumors point to the Galaxy Z Flip5 as part of Samsung’s end of month reveal for its foldable lineup. Preliminary reports suggest an event around July 26, though official confirmation has not yet arrived.

Meanwhile, chatter from the popular engineering sources notes rumors about a future Galaxy S23 FE, an unreleased model that has circulated in early speculation for several months.
