Meizu 20 Infinity: A Flagship with Ultra‑Narrow Bezels and premium materials

In a landmark presentation, Meizu unveiled its flagship device, the Meizu 20 Infinity, highlighting a design with exceptionally slim bezels and a distinctive titanium glass frame. Industry outlet Rozetked reported these design choices, underscoring the device’s pursuit of a premium, edge-to-edge display experience.

The manufacturer claims the Meizu 20 Infinity features the thinnest bezels on the market, measuring just 2.48 mm around the entire display. Beyond the aesthetics, the phone uses high-end materials, including stainless steel and Meizu Titan Glass, which measures up to 6.5 on the Mohs hardness scale for superior scratch resistance and durability.

At the heart of the Meizu 20 Infinity is a 6.79 inch AMOLED panel that supports LTPO technology. This enables adaptive refresh rates from 1 Hz to 120 Hz, optimizing performance and power efficiency. The screen delivers peak brightness up to 1850 nits, with a resolution of 3192 by 1368 pixels for sharp detail and vibrant color reproduction.

Performance is anchored by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. This combination aims to deliver strong multitasking, responsive app launches, and rapid data access for demanding apps and games.

A versatile triple camera setup encompasses a 50 MP main sensor, complemented by a 12 MP telephoto lens and a 12 MP ultra-wide module, plus a depth and timing sensor for depth information. On the front, a 32 MP camera handles selfies and video calls with high detail. The camera system is designed to cover a wide range of shooting scenarios from lifestyle portraits to landscapes and macro opportunities.

Powering the device is a 4800 mAh battery that supports wired charging at 65 watts and wireless charging at 50 watts. This combination aims to provide fast top-ups in daily usage, helping to minimize downtime. The Meizu 20 Infinity runs on the Flyme 10 skin, built on top of the Android platform, though details about the base Android version have not been disclosed by the manufacturer.

In terms of market availability, the Meizu 20 Infinity was announced with a launch price in China of 6.3 thousand yuan for the 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage variant, equivalent to roughly 70,000 rubles in local currency estimates. The top-end configuration with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB of storage is priced around 8.5 thousand yuan, or about 95,000 rubles. As of the initial announcement, there was no confirmed international release date or availability outside China.

Previously, reports indicated that the flagship Meizu 20 and Meizu 20 Pro were introduced in China, signaling Meizu’s intent to bring high-end specifications into their lineup. This context helps frame the Infinity variant within Meizu’s broader strategy for premium smartphones in Asia and potentially abroad (source: socialbites.ca reporting on the China launch).
