Meizu has unveiled its flagship model, the Meizu 21 Pro, featuring cutting-edge hardware and an integrated artificial intelligence system. Reports from the GSMArena portal highlight this release and its growing AI capabilities.
The Meizu 21 Pro sports a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a 2K resolution, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and peak brightness reaching 1250 nits. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with options of 8 or 16 GB of RAM. Storage choices include 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB.
Its camera setup comprises three modules: a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom.
The 5050 mAh battery supports 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Meizu also introduced the Flyme 10.5 skin, which includes a robust vibration system, an under-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and AI-driven features. Among these capabilities, the phone can analyze calls, recognize text in photos, remove objects from images, and provide summaries of long articles, among other tasks. Similar AI-assisted functions had already appeared in the Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup. GSMArena notes these capabilities as part of the Meizu 21 Pro’s software strategy.
In China, the Meizu 21 Pro is expected to start at around 5,000 yuan for the 12/256 GB variant, which translates to roughly 62,800 rubles at current exchange rates. Market watchers see this as a potential line for the company as it shifts focus away from new smartphone development toward artificial intelligence ventures. Analysts also compare the device to other recent flagships in terms of AI features and display technology, underscoring Meizu’s move into a more AI-centric hardware and software ecosystem.
Earlier reports highlighted Google Pixel 8 as a standout smartphone during MWC 2024, setting a high bar for AI and camera performance in flagship devices. This context helps frame how the Meizu 21 Pro’s AI features are positioned relative to contemporary rivals, emphasizing both hardware prowess and software capabilities. GSMArena provides ongoing analysis of how these trends shape consumer choices in major markets such as Canada and the United States.
