Atom 4.0: Proteqta’s smart safety helmets blend protection with connected analytics

Proteqta has introduced Atom 4.0, a new line of intelligent safety helmets that blend protection with smart sensing. The core helmet, branded ROSOMZ, pairs with a custom smart module developed by Proteqta, delivering a connected safety solution that has been highlighted by industry outlets such as iXBT.

The helmet is equipped with a panic button, temperature and humidity sensors, a Bluetooth interface, and a GPS/GLONASS receiver to perform reliably across varied environments. It also supports wireless charging to keep the system ready for use without frequent dockings.

Atom 4.0 operates through a tri-component architecture: the helmet integrated with the smart module, a base station that runs on the LoRaWAN protocol, and an analytical server that aggregates and analyzes data from all devices in the field. This setup enables centralized visibility and informed decision making for supervisors and safety teams. (Source: Proteqta portal, reported by iXBT)

On a single charge, the helmet can operate for up to five days and offers a communication range of up to 20 kilometers. It also monitors altitude, enabling managers to verify worker presence in high-risk zones or at elevated locations, and to flag deviations from established work patterns.

Real-time safety insights flow to operators through multiple channels, including SMS, email, and instant messaging. The system also provides a dedicated help button and a voice alert module that notifies a worker when they are approaching or entering a hazardous area. These features are designed to shorten response times in emergencies and to reinforce adherence to safety protocols. (Citation: Proteqta portal)

Earlier initiatives in Russia included a system designed to accelerate Face ID on any smartphone, illustrating Proteqta’s broader focus on secure, rapid identification to support safer workplaces.
