Apple’s FineWoven Shortage, iPhone 16 Rumors, and Pixel 9 Display Buzz

Apple is currently facing a shortage of FineWoven accessories on its global online storefront, according to Portal and 9to5Mac. Because of limited stock, several FineWoven iPhone cases and Apple Watch bands cannot be placed in carts at the moment. The chatter around durability concerns has led some observers to speculate that Apple could pause the FineWoven line and pivot toward new materials instead of continuing to expand this range. It’s possible that remaining stock is being cleared as a temporary measure.

There is also the possibility that Apple will press forward with FineWoven at a later date, perhaps reintroducing accessories crafted from this material alongside new designs with the release of the iPhone 16.

Rumor has it that Apple’s annual keynote will occur on September 10, with expectations of four iPhone 16 models, an updated Apple Watch, and two new AirPods options, one featuring enhanced noise reduction. The iPhone 16 is said to feature a redesigned camera module arranged in a vertical stack. The Pro models could retain the familiar silhouette but add a 48‑megapixel ultra‑wide camera, expanding photographic capabilities while preserving the line’s core aesthetics.

Earlier notes from DxOMark highlighted the Google Pixel 9 as delivering standout display performance, reinforcing ongoing competition in premium mobile photography and screen quality across leading brands. The landscape remains dynamic as consumers weigh durability, feature sets, and material choices across flagship devices.
