Tele2 to rebrand as Swedish heritage abandoned

Mobile operator Tele2 has announced that it will rebrand in the coming months. This information was transferred TASS with reference to the operator’s press service.

“Tele2 has announced its intention to rebrand before the end of 2024,” the company said.

It is known that we have already developed a project that ensures continuity with the new brand; positioning and identity will follow. The operator’s press service announced that they decided not to renew the license to use the Swedish brand, which will expire on December 31, 2024.

Russian operator Tele2 was part of the Swedish company Tele2 AB until 2013. Later the Russian division was acquired by VTB. In 2020, 100% of Tele2 shares were consolidated by Rostelecom. Russian operator Tele2 received the right to use the brand for 10 years.
