A representative of the agency told the publication that Roskomnadzor does not receive applications from foreign organizations to register as hosting providers in the registry.
“Unregistered companies will be prohibited from providing hosting services in Russia from February 1,” the publication says.
According to experts, foreign players did not want to participate in the registry due to the threat of sanctions and the requirement to meet stringent conditions for applicants.
