The Association of Air Transport Operators (AEVT), which includes Russian airlines, has proposed that the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) expand the list of countries providing spare parts for aircraft. This was reported by RBC.
Carriers called for Ethiopia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea and Pakistan to be added to the list of supplier countries that can install spare parts on aircraft. AEVT explained the increase in the list by expanding repair capabilities of aircraft equipment, including engines.
At the same time, the agency does not have sufficient data “on the certification and control system for the production of components of these civil aviation departments”, as it has not interacted with these countries before.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a press conference on December 14 that Russia plans to produce more than 1 thousand aircraft by 2030. He noted that Russian airlines have taken back some of the foreign aircraft they rented, but they need to develop their own aircraft production.
Previously Russian aircraft become birds crash more frequently.
