By the end of 2023, the Yandex Market product range will expand with furniture designed and produced by the company’s own order. In this respect informs Kommersant version.
Former employees of the Russian office of IKEA will be engaged in the development of products and the development of their own furniture brand “Yandex”. By the end of 2025, the product range is expected to include about 3,000 products.
Yandex Market reports that branded sofas and beds are already on sale on the site. Until the end of the year, other furniture for the living room, kitchen and bedrooms will be included in the catalog. The company hopes that its furniture will make up 10% of the Yandex Market division’s total turnover.
Furniture production will be carried out mainly in Russian factories. But in parallel with this, the company cooperates with manufacturers from Belarus and China.
According to experts Kommersant spoke to, Yandex Market will need to increase its logistics capacity and start providing assembly services in order to sell oversized furniture.
