In September, the Ministry of Digital Development reported that since the start of this year, Gosuslugi has launched five times more services than during the entire previous year. The leap is attributed to the Service Designer tool, introduced on the portal in June 2022. With this feature, authorities can rapidly create convenient online services for both businesses and individuals.

The ministry also expanded access on Gosuslugi with a new regional initiative called “I am in Russia.” This service enables residents of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, to obtain citizenship, compulsory medical insurance, medical appointments, and access to payments and benefits. It also helps users find employment and perform a range of other everyday tasks online.

Additionally, under the “Government Services” section, users can now submit documents for military registration to the military registration and enlistment office, including registration, removal, and changes of data.

Users can also verify the authenticity of a person’s passport before proceeding with dealings, via a dedicated service on the portal.

In the Civil Services area, it is now possible to book a notary appointment and send electronic copies of documents in advance for review.

The Gosuslugi mobile app allows users to check the originality of goods in stores, improving consumer confidence during purchases.

When data already exists in the Unified State Real Estate Register, ownership can be registered, and missing information can be submitted online or via the MFC, all through the portal.

Additionally, Gosuslugi now supports filing and paying tax declarations, managing compensation within the scope of compulsory motor insurance, and requesting documents related to land disputes.

New features enable secure child email accounts, designed to support learning. These accounts provide a space for homework and access to educational platforms, enhancing remote learning for students.

Authentication services have been extended to everyday situations in the Civil Services section. For example, showing a passport or verifying age when entering a store or office can now be done through Gosuslugi.

The portal also offers a feature to protect real estate from fraudulent transactions. A user can place a note in the Unified State Register indicating that property transactions require the owner’s presence, adding a layer of security.

Minor residency records can now be established via Gosuslugi, and it is possible to design an electronic compulsory health insurance policy for oneself or a child through the platform.

Digitalization of public services is continuing in the country. Plans include a single digital platform designed to unite all social support measures. This platform aims to allow Russians to access pensions and benefits without separate applications and supporting documents. It will also enable employers to transfer necessary information to the Social Fund more efficiently. The platform’s development is part of the social sector’s digital transformation concept planned for 2025, as outlined in official strategy documents.
