Even over a year after release Baldur’s Gate 3 brings new discoveries. One of the players on Reddit shared his story about how one of the less useful companions became a real weapon against mages.

Fans know that in the Underdark location you can find a special sussur flower, which has an anti-magic field. However, in other places it cannot be used – the flower loses its abilities as soon as it is brought to the surface. But it turned out that there is still a way.

According to a Redditor nicknamed JustCreamyThings, he tried to play with his pet Shkryab, throwing him a flower instead of a ball. However, the effect was unexpected: the dog ate the plant and received an antimagical effect. Thanks to this, Shkryab can be used as a mobile “jammer” of opponents, which is convenient – there are a lot of magical enemies in the game. Furthermore, the ability persists even after you leave the Underdark.

Unfortunately, if you recall Shkryab and summon him again, the effect disappears. However, the exploit can be a big help in the first act of Valor mode.

Recently, the president of publishing house Larian Studios hinted that Baldur’s Gate 3 “isn’t finished yet.” Now fans are hoping that the game will get new content. Meanwhile, the game still remains popular and even breaks its own records.
